Zonee One, a small aluminium box engraved ZONEE, with a USB-C port

Zonee One

A small object that marks a place.

Shown at its real size, beside a phone.

What Zonee One is

Nothing to look at.

There is no screen and no button. It sits where you put it and stays out of the way.

Runs on any USB‑C charger.

It stays plugged in, so there is no battery to look after.

It only sends a signal.

Zonee One sends Bluetooth and nothing else. It has no microphone, no camera and no sensors.

Setting it up

  1. Plug it in where the zone should be.

By the bed, on the desk, at the table. A small light shows it has power.

  2. Pair it in the app.

Zonee finds it over Bluetooth. There is no code to type and no account to make.

  3. Check the edge.

The standard zone suits most places. If the next room is close, the app can measure yours: once from the spot, once from the doorway.

  4. Pick the apps.

Choose the apps that stay out of this place. Everything else keeps working.

Honest answers

How many do I need?

One for each place. Each Zonee One makes its own zone with its own list of apps.

What happens when I travel?

Away from your Zonee Ones nothing is blocked. The score keeps working, because it comes from the phone.

Can I get past it?

Yes, by walking away, or by turning Bluetooth off. You set Zonee for yourself, and you can always undo it.

What does it add to the free app?

The app can limit an app all day, everywhere, but it can’t tell the bed from the sofa. Zonee One can: the bed closes everything, the desk only a few, and away from them nothing changes. It does that without ever reading your location.

Why no iPhone?

iOS keeps the usage numbers Zonee needs inside Apple’s own sandbox. Android shares them with the app. An iPhone version waits on that.
